I am an artist and I went to Du Cret School of the arts. I used to buy my supplies from Pearl Paint when I was attending Du Cret. Cheep Joe's art stuff reminds me of Pearl. I will check it out. Thank you for posting this.

I remember buying supplies when you were in Boone Drug and I was so happy when you went big time with the store in the industrial park. Now I mail order or occasionally shop at your Asheville location. It's been amazing to watch the journey of your company and I wish you many more successful years!

In the mid 80’s taking art classes at Coastal Carolina College in SC, professor said “you have to use quality art supplies. And the best deals are at a place in Boone NC called Cheap Joe’s.” And it still is. As an art teacher years later I got to meet Joe at a state conference in NC. Joseph I think you were there too. Joe was one of a kind. What a blessing 💝

A long time ago when I discovered Cheap Joe's and ordered art supplies it was very exciting for me as I had no idea about online ordering. My language skills were rather poor. I still have the materials. They are very good, positive memories. Thank you.) The artworks of MC Escher are still fascinating. What an artist! Thank you for the video. Just right. "Tesselling"... Just this morning I was trying to remotely grasp the concept of string theory, and here you dump tesselates on me. 🤯 (While the above is true,- heaven help me, I do love the rhythms of color and patterns, lights and darks-which seems pretty much seems in line with your message. Thanks for a new word!!

You have tessellates confused with fractals. Tessellates repeat, same size, same shape. Fractals repeat, same shape, different size, like tree branches.

I didn't know that there was a name for that! Thanks for giving us something to think about and be inspired by 💕

Dried river bottoms and lightning do create patterns but are not repeating patterns, so they're not tessellates
